Matthew Abela

Matthew a Certified Accountant, a certified Financial & IT Auditor with a wealth of experience in accounting and auditing. Over the course of his eight-year career, he has worked for both a Big4 firm and medium-tier firms and has gained expertise in a variety of industries including Manufacturing, Financial Services, Gaming, and Asset Management. In addition to his Master’s in Accountancy, Matthew has recently concluded a Master of Science in Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology with University of Malta, for which he is also a visiting lecturer. He is an approved person with authorities in Malta and beyond, serves as a Director and Secretary on several entities, has been appointed as a court expert and is also an experienced liquidator.

Matthew is also actively involved in professional organizations and serves as a member of various committees. His global experience has taken him from outside of Malta to various locations across Europe and in the United States, where he has consistently delivered successful engagements.

Julian Abela

Julian, a qualified and experienced CPA Warrant Holder with Practising Certificate Auditor certificate and a member of the Malta Institute of Accountants. After earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Banking and a Master’s degree in Accountancy from the University of Malta in 2018, Julian embarked on a successful career in the accounting and audit industry. With three years of experience at a Big4 firm and an additional two years at a medium-tier entity, Julian has garnered a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the field. In addition to his accounting and auditing practice, Julian serves as both a secretary and financial controller for an established group of companies in Malta, a group that also has international presence around Europe. His auditing and accounting experience spans a diverse range of industries, including insurance, gaming, manufacturing, aviation, and more, allowing him to serve a wide range of clients both locally and internationally.

Nicolai Attard

Nicolai is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the esteemed Malta Institute of Accountants. After earning his Bachelor of Commerce degree, he went on to achieve higher education at the University of Malta by obtaining a Master’s in Accountancy and a Master’s Degree in Taxation. He has specialized in Corporate Tax Compliance, Accounting, International Taxation, and Voluntary Liquidations. Progressing swiftly through the career ladder Nicolai started his career as an accounting trainee at a med-tier accounting firm and steadily advanced to become an accountant, before gaining experience in the advisory department. Presently, Nicolai primarily focuses on accounting and tax compliance and offers local and international tax advice whilst overseeing liquidations.
