Role Description: This is a full-time, hybrid role for a Client Accountant based in Marsa with flexibility for remote work. The Client Accountant will manage and oversee financial records, help build client relationships, monitor transactions, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Additional responsibilities include generating financial reports, coordinating audits, and providing strategic insights to support decision-making.
Position Overview: We are seeking a Client Accountant to join our growing accounting team. The ideal candidate will have experience in client accounting and a strong desire to continue developing within the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Accounting: Perform day-to-day client accounting tasks, including maintaining accurate books of accounts, preparing bank reconciliations, compiling management accounts, and assisting with the preparation of year-end financial statements.
- Compliance: Ensure full compliance with tax laws and regulations, including the preparation and submission of VAT returns and other statutory filings.
- Payroll: Process monthly payroll for clients, ensuring accurate calculations and timely submission of all required documentation.
Qualifications
- (Preferred – not mandatory) Obtained or in the process of obtaining professional certification such as M.Accty, ACCA, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in client accounting.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
